I am always amazed how dark it gets inside the cabins of these ships! On our past cruise, we completely forgot to bring a night light like we have done in the past. If we want to get up and use the restroom or check what time it is at night, we cannot find our way around the room without a little light and we run into things and ultimately wake others up while we are trying our best to be quiet!
It is my understanding that the Allure does have a glow in the dark light switch in the bathroom so you can make it to the door there easily if you need to.
I also heard one really smart trick that I have never tried before though. Turn your cabin TV onto the station that shows the camera on the bridge that over looks the bow. This channel has no sound but it will show you the outside and as the morning brightens, so will the picture on the TV and it creates a "window" to the outside of your cabin. This will be especially helpful for those that are in an inside cabin!
