I have heard that the room service on the Allure will not leave you waiting long. That is pretty amazing considering how large this ship is I did read from 2 posters on Cruise Critic that the did order early morning room service and they listed a certain time for delivery and the food showed up a 1/2 hour to an hour earlier than what they had ordered. So, beware, they may catch you by surprise in your PJs when they deliver your morning coffee, fruit or whatever.
Just remember to have some $1 bills in your room as it is customary to give a couple dollars as a tip.
Also, while room service is free most of the day, if you order room service in the middle of the night, there is a small surcharge.
